Already had some but bought 2 more anyway, figure it's not going to go down in price.

Bought 4 based on good reviews and good prices.

Welcome to the forum, always good to have another port aficionado. You can sign up for wtso updates and it will come to your email but they are mostly wines other than port.

True but there are not many I will not buy a couple of just to try, especially if the shipping is free. I am in a no man's land as far as finding anything local.

I bought 2 but not sure I will be around 25 years from now which is when Roy said this one will mature.

You are probably right but based on your tasting notes, your score and the fact I did not have any I did spring for 4.

The tasting notes and ratings on this one on FTLOP are all over the place.

If it was Delaforce then Wine Spectator gave the 1997 a score of 95, for whatever that's worth.

I have not but I sprung for a couple of them anyway to give it a try.

I don't really have a choice, I am the only one in the house that drinks and I certainly can't drink a whole bottle by myself. Well I could but I have to work the next day.

Roy in case you are wondering your tasting notes do impact port sales.

I have said this before and it is only my opinion but, if you don't intend to drink them then it might as well be filled with water, you will never know the difference. Obviously if you are holding them as an investment and intend to sell them then I can see why you would not open it.
