I think Madeira is a love it or hate it thing. Some people can't get over the VA. Still those that get it, absolutely love it. i guess getting as many people as possible aquainted with the good stuff would be the answer.

I sort of fall into the "collector" mentality when I'm down to the last bottle of a lot that I'm particularly fond off. I"m happy to drink them up when there's others left, but it's hard to give up the last one.

There is debate whether tawnys will age in bottle. I believe they do, but the question is whether they'll improve. This would be over several years, however, so I agree a few years wait won't make too much difference.

I'm a snow boarder also. I switched from skiing after trying on the boots for the first time. I've been doing it for about 12 year now.
