Re: What have you opened this week?
Woke up Christmas morning. Felt fine but had a lot of messages on my phone that people I had been around tested positive. Took a test and sure enough…. 11lb prime rib sitting on the counter… I had already decanted a ‘95 Fonseca Guimaraens…. So I basically stayed in my room and drank the decanter. F...

Re: Fonseca Vintage Porto 2017
I will tell you the full story. Longstanding local wine store, pretty decent size. I'm not a big customer of theirs (I historically don't buy a lot of wine) but have been on their mailing list for ~8 years or so. One of their weekly emails hits my inbox - 2017 Croft VP (750ml) for $30. I buy 6 immed...

Re: Fonseca Vintage Porto 2017
Yea they are 750ml. I got 6 2016 750ml Croft VP for $30 each too. This was two weeks ago. Both with owc.
I wonder if a distributor had a bunch to get rid of?
This was from a very reputable local wine shop too.

Re: Port/Madeira auction
I'm trying to understand the mechanics of this, seeing as I live in Wisconsin.
The Skinner FAQ site basically says it's up to the buyer to arrange shipping outside of the local Boston area, but doesn't give any suggestions. Does anyone have any experience with shipping wines from here?
