Kirkland Tawny Port

So I got a bottle of Kirkland (Costco House Brand) 10 year Tawny Port. It has the IDVP seal on the top. It says it is produced by Quinta and Vineyard Bottlers.... which i think is part of teh the Taylor / Fonseca group. I know i have tasted this before. I'm sure it is a rebranded bottle of Taylor 10...

Burmester makes some awsome Colheita's, especially their older ones, WOW! Worth every penny Andy- were you able to find the bottle of '85 locally or was it a souvenier ...

Portuguese Cheese

Slightly off topic.
For those who have been to Portugal, What is the name of the small cheese that restauarants usually bring to the table with the bread and butter? It is a white cheese with a thick waxy rind?

thanks.

Thanks. I have no idea how the wine industry goes about obtaining plants for thier vineyards... I actually imagined that a nursury would specialize in different vine stock... i have no interest in importing the plants from abroad. Thought there might have been a place to buy "hobbiest" vin...

Anyone have any word on a West Coast distributor for Burmester?

I have contacted Grape moments to see if they can help me...

But have not gotten a response yet.

Touriga Nactional Vines

Weird question:

Does anyone know of any places (preferably CA) that sell Touriga Nactional vines? I would like to plant one in my yard for sentimental reasons....

Thanks

Burmester Colheitas

Does anyone know of any retailers in the US, preferably SF bay area that sell Burmester Colheitas?
I had the luxury of enjoying many bottles of them during my trip to Portugal last summer and look forward to getting some back home.

thanks.

2003 VP SF Tasting

Roy-
You mentioned in your newsletter about a 2003 VP tasting in San Francisco. Is this an industry only event or open to the public? Was it a one shot deal or somthing more often?

I'd be very interested in attending one in the future.
thanks.
