1985 Graham Porto Vintage

1985 Graham Porto Vintage (Decanted for 2 hours, fogo de chao dinner) with a nose of blackberry, raspberry and allot of blueberry. The palate was smooth with no heat (knott's berry farm blueberry jam in a port glass) this was a close 2nd to the fonseca 85.94-95pts

1961 Krohn Colheita Port

1961 Krohn Porto Colheita (fogo de chao dinner)(bottle in 2005,pop and pour)This has the color of a px sherry in the glass(very dark)The nose is nutty and raisiny with dried figs and maple. it had a Palate of nuts, chocolate and coffee; with a very long finish. 93-94pts.

1979 Niepoort Colheita Port

On the nose there's cake mix, spices, brown sugar and with a touch of heat. On the palate there is Carmel, toffee, nuts, raisins and orange peel. A very nice colheita 93-94 pts.

Why do cigars and ports pair so well? In my short experience with port and cigars, I have not found a vintage port (to fragile) that can hang with a bold Cuban cigar.
