For The Love Of Port

Had it two weeks ago. One of the most perfect port i have had the oportunity to drink. Really amazing stuff that is not so expensive, at least yet....

I started early this weekend crashing some bottles of:

Smithwoodhouse 77
Niepoort Garrafeira 77
Niepoort Colheita 63
Niepoort Vintage 1970

For the 24th/25th i will have to decide what to open....

The original Founder was Mr Eduard Kebe (he was Dutch)

At Niepoort's, they dont have any doubt considering the 2008 better for port and they think they will some of the best produced in the house.

Well, by the photo, i think i know who is the seller. Isn't the nick "Visao.prt"?
If it is, i already bought some ports from him. Really honest my transactions. This guy has a montruous collection on Ports and Madeiras

The 31 is a Garrafeira. And just because we had a lots of ports, we didn't open that one. It would be a sacrilege to open that after all those wines. As i was spending a few days in Porto (just arrived yesterday). As i was spending the sunday afternoon walking in Gaia entered in a Wineshop that really dazzled me. What a marvelous collection of Port (and not all is at sight). Lot's of older stuff. Like a 72 Vargellas that i wasn't aware that exist...

I don't have any Tiara from older vintages, but i have already the 07, wich is one i will buy a lot when released in September.

BTW i have now all the Niepoort whites from 07. Amazing vintage, amazing wines.

I do collect everything i can from 2004 Vintage. But those are for my Son to drink with me
