Clear case is the buying op you offer.
If it's something that can be readily available, then price is the most important factor.
But if you were to offer a say 1896 dow, the price wouldn't be the factor that made me blink.

Le Club Chasse et Pêche in montreal had a dow 85 by the glass for a very very reasonable 15$ / glass. Me and a lady sitting at the table besides mine were actaully drinking it with the meal. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable and told me that the dow 85 was opened at 6 the night before (24 hours...

Actually that brings an interesting point, here in the states, alot of wineries in the states will take back their product and replace with the same exact no questions asked, do the port houses offer similar programs? oh and unless it's a tasting with like minded port tasters I would not say anythin...
