I had the '85 Offley at a tasting a few years back. I would not expect too much from it. From memory, it's fully mature with a pink rim and very, very sweet nearly cloying. That said, it may end up being a good intro to persons unfamiliar with a real VP with bottle age.

My wife and I will be going out to dinner New Years night, and hopefully savoring a bottle of 2002 Louis Jadot Puligny-Montrachet, Domaine Duc du Magenta, Clos de la Garenne.

Hints of kirsch, plumskin, confectioners sugar, and briar on the nose. This is ridiculously youthful, with massive concentration and sweetness, fruit and heat, and some chewy, fine-grained tannins that kick in on the finish. Had a glass over several nights. I sensed you all take a shine to Warre's and tannins. Then I would be remiss not to recommend the Warre's Late Bottled Vintage Ports from 1994, 1995, and 1999. Traditional and unfiltered style, can be enjoyed now or later.
