Re: Port reviews by the Wine Enthusiast magazine
One thing I've noticed over the years, is that compared to most other critics or media outlets, the Wine Enthusiast seems to give Port the highest scores of all. Not always, but consistently over the years this has been my impression. I have long wondered if this is an issue of "relevancy"...

A shame this was never actually produced. As th...

1. I can use it to compare with my other notes
2. I can write a new one then look bck on older notes and say "wow i used the same descriptors"
3. Less fluff more stuff
4. help me build a vocabulary so that i can describe unknown ports I taste

Ha, I had to check again to make sure I had the disclosure ;-) in all seriousness I would imagine there are only 2 major publications for general scores that people really care about Advocate and Spectator Then there are specific mags focused on specific regions. Re: 2011 Port Futures
Agree with your assessment of 1994 and 1997 Alex. Were you comparing either to 2009 or 2011? Jeff, sorry if I misunderstood. I thought you were implying across the board the 2009's were better. Misread on my part. [kez_11.gif] yea, no way, across the board the 11's I feel are stronger. I went almos...
