Unlike the other bottles opened for this tasting, this was a half bottle, which may have put it at a disadvantage. It was fairly faded in color, appearing as the second most mature after the 1991 Fonseca Guimareans. It was the sweetest of the bunch, to the house style. It was not particularly complex, and not the first to be finished off, even though it was a half bottle. After some drinking I detected some faint but nice wood barrel character. If this bottle is indicative, half bottles of this probably have another 5 to 10 years of drinking left. 90 points.
This bottle was double sealed, with a black seal over a green one.
