2006 Quinta do Crasto LBV Port

Post by John M. »

Decanted 24 Hours.

Reddish purple with red rim--looks like beginning to age purple fades to red; moderate weight. A touch of plum, rhubarb and unsweet berry. A little simple but very enjoyable --lovingly smooth moderate finish. These are aging nicely; really nice LBV.

Glad you enjoyed this LBV from what was basically a poor year overall. Though Vesuvio did make a really nice VP that many :ftlop2014: 'ers had their toes in making.

I was fortunate to have had this a few weeks ago - very nice, ripe, approachable, and quite elegant and balanced. It had been decanted for about 5 hours.
