Decanted 6 hours. While still ruby in color at the core, there is noticeable bricking showing. Licorice, sweet honey, and brown sugar with a sweet background on the nose. There is still some youthful berries but this is now mostly showing tertiary notes of bing cherries, licorice, tea, with a semi-dry profile. The finish adds some chocolate and dash of tobacco leaf. Mostly resolved tannins and with moderate acidity keeping it fresh. On a nice plateau which it should stay at for some years to come. Otherwise this bottle is showing pretty close to peak.
