Nose: a bit restrained-tar?

Body: medium

Taste: a bit rustic and hard

Aftertaste: good-tannic

I have definitely had some bottles of this that match your description. Maybe they need more time, but that's not my guess about these bottles. Seemed like a lot of press wine to me. But you never know how wines will age. I've certainly been surprised in the past.
