I've been lucky with my bottles so far. But the empirical evidence says this suffers the same issue many 1977's do...and why I no longer buy 1977 VP's.

I've opened MANY of these from bottles purchased in the early and then late 1990's. Also a case bought just a couple of years ago when I needed to re-up. My luck has been very good with few if any that were corked.

I was actually going to add this as a 3rd bottle for Sunday, but think the flights will wind up perfectly where they are at now.

I've had fewer corked 1977 GC than (for example) 1983 Dow.

Same here. But the uk crew seems to have more issues than over here for some reason.

It must have something to do with their cool and moist cellars.
