1995 Fonseca Guimaraens vintage port

Post by Rune EG »

6 hrs decanting. Medium dark brownred colour. Slightly oxidized. Deep aroma of humid cellar. Medium body. Pleasant at the start. Some fruit, a bit oak, sharp tannins. The port is showing it is on the way to be tawny. Medium long aftertaste. All this after abt 3 hrs. Then during the following three hours this vintage port fell apart. 81 pts.

Notes on this seem to have taken a rather fast downward spiral in the past few years. I think I have some so will have to check them out and see if mine are also going that path.
