Purchased at Krohn cellar in Vila Nova Gaia May 2014. I have not tasted that many Krohn vintage ports, and this one was a pleasant surprise. A like the combination elegance and power, but this one was maybe too elegant, therefore “only 94 pts”.
Decanted 6.5 hrs. Dark red/purple colour. Young, pleasant fresh aroma full of fruits incl raisins. Full body. Super elegant entrance of the taste, full of fruits and tannins in an elegant way, fruit holding on all the way, some minerals and a bit burnt sugar. Medium to long aftertaste. Would love to buy more of it. 94 pts.
