Went to a Halloween party where Eric Ifune would be joining us. So I decided to try and find a Port and Douro wine in my cellar that he most likely had never had and found this, along with a slightly older Douro wine. Turns out I got lucky and he had never had it or the Douro wine before. Soft strawberries, anise, and a touch of V.A. on the nose, the later of which blew off a little the more air it got. From memory, this bottle showed less advanced than a previous bottle with more fruit, complexity, and balance. Soft and elegantly styled, if not a bit simple. From this bottle and previous ones I'd say it's time to start drinking these up over the next few years for maximum enjoyment.
