1963 The Douro Wine Shippers and Growers Association LDA Vintage Port
Decanted 13 hours. Medium Ruby. Tawny rim. Very light nose. I thought that this was going to be a simple and "over the hill" wine. I was totally wrong. Real complexity *and* intensity on the palate. Wow! Super long and complex finish. I cannot spit this wine. This is mostly red fruits like the other 1963's, but this has a special energy to it. Fantastic wine! 96 points.
My 1st wine. Group 5th.

I love the decanting instructions on the label. Wish they still did that--even if on the back.
Any Port in a storm!
