2007 Quinta do Noval

Post by R Bull »

Purchased half of a case and enjoyed this port so much that we are going back to buy more tomorrow. Our 24 year old loved this port and we had to fight over the last couple of pourings. Very jammy aroma and slight acidity. I also, on initial opening and tasting, smelled a hint of bubble gum which was not expected. After 3 hour decant, the port was filled with blackberry, blueberries and figs. Also, I noted a hint of dark cherries and some chocolate. Very dark almost black ink in color with a slight red rim. Very smooth and the tannins were relatively refined. I only wish the finish was longer as it did not linger long on the palate. 93+ pts.

One of my favorite 2007's, I've loved it since the first time I tried it. A awesome VP
