2003 Niepoort VP

Post by John M. »

Bright red rim--deep purple red. Tight nose--brambles with hint of dark fruit. Pepper and deep grape jam with leather and rhubarb undertones. Clipped finish, acidic. This really needs many years to evolve--structure seems good.

It is a fantastic young Port but almost too young and tannic at this stage. Definitely wait to open your next one as it is likely in a dumb phase at the moment.
Ambition driven by passion, rather than money, is as strong an elixir as is Port. http://www.fortheloveofport.com
