2003 Broadbent Vintage Port

Post by John M. »

Decanted 12 hours. Tasted Blind. Bright red rim with purple core. Brambly nose with cherries. This is a robust port, tannic but with fresh dark fruit--mainly blackberry and a hint of mint. Rather clipped finish. Needs to age--had this before and this is the poorest showing.

I've generally been right around where you scored it. Agree it can use a little more age, but I don't think it has the stuffing to make old bones. Which is just fine as we have to have something to drink before the "big boys" come round and are mature. This was my house VP for a time after buying some for real cheap at WTSO.

I got a bunch of these too from WTSO and really quite nice for the price.
