2013 Quevedo

Post by Al B. »

5,000 bottles produced from grapes source exclusively from Quinta Vale d'Agodinho. Purple in colour, opaque and with a medium transparent rim. Green chicory leaves on top of powerful blackcurrants to deliver a fresh and fruity nose. Crushed chicory on the palate with fresh, sweet blackcurrants and huge levels of fruit. Powerful green tannins grip and hold. Big and chewy finish. This is an impressive port. 90-92/100. Tasted 5 Mar 2015.

Is it listed on the label as a SQVP or just as Quevedo VP?

The label on the bottle just said Quevedo, but I suspect this was a cask sample and not carrying the final, IVDP approved label.
