1973 Martinez Crusted Port

Post by Andy Velebil »

Ok, bottled in 1973 but lets not argue over minor details. First a big thanks to Tom A. for finding a couple of these at auction in the UK and knowing it was m birthyear allowing me to buy a couple off him.

Tawny in color, with a very sweet soft palate with lots of Christmas cake spices, toffee, and some cedar. It reminded me of an older Graham's Malvedos VP, as it was similar in style and flavors, though more advanced in comparable age. Fully mature and no reason to keep any longer, if you happen to even have one of these rare 1973 bottles. A treat to enjoy for my birthday.
