Feuerheerd Reserve Ruby

Post by John M. »

Picked this up a few months ago in PA for $16 including tax. Opened last night as a pop and pour--classic ruby reserve purple. Blue and black berry aromas which redouble in the taste. I would describe this as feminine--light flavors and hard to pull out individual flavors, not as dense in the mouth and Six Grapes or Noval Black. This is not a flaw, just a characteristic. A slightly tart finish. For a pop and pour it certainly tasted nice from the get-go, it did open up for the hour or so it took us to polish this off. For the price, I thought this was well worth it.
