75cl bottle. Amazing colour, medium to light ruby. Looked like I imagined a mature vintage port to look like.
Took 5 hours of decanting to open up, but once open lovely gentle fruit with hints of spice on the nose, along with moderate hit of spirit.
Very soft on the palate, gentle at first then changing to a big hit of jammy fruit, strawberries, raspberries followed by a lovely warm mulled wine spices on the aftertaste, particularly cinnamon. Very gentle on the mouth, nothing overpowering, the acidity and tannins were all nicely subdued.
I'd rate 94+, I couldn't help but feel the nose could have provided more, but otherwise amazing.
