1955 Graham Vintage Port

Post by Eric Menchen »

Very similar in color to the 1955 Cockburn. There is some spirit in the aroma, but it is very pleasant (not medicinal or industrial). Wonderful fruity berry in the mouth—so much fruit for a 1955. There is also good acid, providing a nice balance. This is a little thick, but not too much so like the 1955 Martinez. Later there was a little floral character in the aroma, and some spice, possibly marjoram. 95 points? Perhaps, but not as good as the 1948 Fonseca.
