2011 Niepoort LBV
Smells of spicy juicy raspberry filling in a chocolate cake, with some orange, tangering, and even some grapefruit. The spice shows pepper and sage, and then there is a floral aroma of marigold stem. There is lots of fresh fruit in the mouth, medium tannins, and lots of tart acids. The finish is really nice, and medium long. This is not as complex and nuanced as the 2003 Crasto and Tedo LBVs, but tasty. 91-92 points.
