1992 Quevedo Colheita Port

Post by Andy Velebil »

Bottled in 2010. Still a youthful ruby red color with brown undertones. Given this was bottled 6 years ago now I wasn't sure how it would hold up. I am happy to report this is just as fresh and vibrant as it was when first bottled. Has it really been that long now, time does fly by. Anyways, back to the Port...lots of licorice, cherries, old mahogany, and some very light tannins which aren't surprising given this was such a good VP year. The rounded and polished finish brings out some subtle cedar and tobacco that lasts a long time. I look forward to hopefully trying a more current bottling to compare how the extra barrel age has changed this. Sadly, this was the last of my bottles of this, not happy about that.
