1983 Gould Campbell Vintage Port

Post by David Spriggs »

Very dark color. Cedar and black cherry nose. Suave mouth feel. Dense! A very big wine for a 1983. Blackberry, pomegranate, and smoke. An impressive Port! Very long finish. Delicious and hard to not want to take that extra sip. ;-) Still somewhat tannic, but a very solid port from G-C. This is probably the best bottle of this that I have had. 94+ points

I have had the same experience as you.
During a period of abt 8 - 9 years we have consumed two cases of each 6 btls and they have all been very stable
in the quality. My scores throughout all these 12 bottles have been in the 92 - 94 range.
