Smith Woodhouse 10 year old Tawny

Post by Edward J »

We found this on vacation at the Costco in Kona for ~$25. This could be a house tawny for us. As a ten year old it has not yet fully developed caramel flavors that I like, but they are there. The nose is pleasant enough and vaguely floral. The taste is smooth and sweet toasted marshmallow. The finish was of an average length and not hot at all. Compared to the other 10 year olds I've tried this is the first one I really liked. We bought and drank another one the next week. 90pts.

Nice note---thanks. We had this two years ago with an average score of 90 as well (although I was personally at 87 points)---I did not find it complex yet it was delicate. Also paid $25.
