1976 Kopke Colheita Port

Post by Edward J »

The nose? Tanned leather and circus peanuts? Cocoa ? Rose hips on the high end. Yes, I had a tough time deciding what is that constantly changing aroma. It's that complex. Upon partaking, the first impression is that of Apricot/acid/tangerine as it hits your taste buds. Then the fruit gives way to a more floral tone, there's that Rose again. The leather is there along with a bit of herbal bitterness, like thyme. Long finish, with a bit of fruit and just a touch of caramel. Wow. 93pts

This is a wonderful tawny from them. Glad you enjoyed it.
