NV DR 20 Year Old Tawny Port

Condition:
No prior decant. Opened directly from the fridge into a IVDP port glass

Note:

Coca Cola colour and transparent appearance. Brunt caramel, brown sugar, oak, spice and faint alcohol on the nose. Medium+ body (Viscosity improved with increased temperature). On the palate the burnt caramel reappeared along with oak, star anise, cardamom, brown sugar. Very mellow in nature with a nice sweetness balanced by the spices. Fairly short after taste. I really enjoyed this port and think I like it better than the Ferreira. Lucky me that I get to visit the winery in the Douro valley in less than 2 months.
