This was our 2nd bottle of this LBV. Tried 1st bottle earlier this autumn (not reported on FTLOP TN base), and the impressions are identical. Checked the port carefully both at 3 hrs and 5 hrs, and it is clear that this LBV needs 5 hrs as a minimum decanting time.
Bottled 2015. 5 hrs decanting. Dark purple colour. Pleasant balanced fruit in the aroma, slight smoked meat and actually with the touch of some perfume. Medium to full body. Taste is powerful at start, quite “round”, lots of fruit, nice tannins, good acidity and minerals came on heavily towards the end. Quite dry. Medium length aftertaste. 89 pts.
