1992 Delaforce Vintage Port

Post by Thomas V »

Decanted for 6 hours and drunk over 1½ hours.

Plum and raisins on the nose, keeps evolving in aromas and improving as it is in the glass. Tart red cherries on the palate with some dark chocolate and cocoa powder. This is very lush and still red fruit driven but it is starting to mature just slightly. Medium body with a fairly long finish.

This is a rather interesting wine that will keep developing over the next years before revealing its true self, but from the current state of this wine I am very enthusiastic. My guess is it will be drinking best, in the span of between 2025-2030.

Now there's a VP one doesn't see or hear much of. Thanks for the note on this.
