1963 Presidential (Dalva) Golden white port
Bottled 2013. Decanted 0.5 hr. Golden amber colour. Aroma of citrus, wet wood, peaches and hint of nettle. Full body. Powerful and super elegant taste Wow!! Quite «thick» consistency and round style. Nice combination oak, citrus, hermetic fruit and some minerals. Slight bitterness towards the end (dryness/orange peel). One quarter of bottle was put back in to the bottle and closed, then re-opened 2 hrs later. Then the bitterness was even stronger. Very long aftertaste. 95 pts.

Rune, was this actually bottled as Presidential? I've never seen that. If you could post a picture of the bottle, that would be very cool.

Hi Glenn!
Yes, it was a Presidential bottle with all the relevant information.
I am presently travelling in Denmark, but will be back on Saturday and will then post a picture.
Purchased two, so ! have one full and one empty

Very cool! I wonder how many of those they bottled as Presidential as opposed to Dalva. It might be a collector's item!

You may be right here Glenn, however I'm thinking it would be more "collectable" when it was full rather than its current empty stateGlenn E. wrote:Very cool! I wonder how many of those they bottled as Presidential as opposed to Dalva. It might be a collector's item!

I have one more of this bottling, and that one is unopened
In addition to a bottle 1971 Presidential Golden White (unopened).

Never seen 1952 Presidential Golden White, but maybe it exists?
It should be noted that these Presidential bottles are in 75 cl and not 50 cl like most Dalva-versions are being sold today.
