Normally I have given this vintage 92-93 pts, but the last two bottles (with two months apart) have shown a step up. Tasting notes for the two are fairly similar and therefore included in one.
Decanted 6 hrs. Medium to dark red with light rim. Aroma is fruity with elements of prunes, oak, touch of minerals and old humid cellar. Medium to full body. Sweetish berries with hints of cherries. Velvet, round, elegant, not so powerful but more pleasant. Good tannins. Well-structured and well balanced acidity/sweetness. Long aftertaste dominated by fruit. 94 pts.
