From a 375ml bottle.
Still a very dark ruby color this was just starting to show some secondary violet notes on the nose, yet there was something ever so slightly odd just below that. While still youthful and fresh with it's bright cherries, there was a simplicity that didn't seem normal for this bottle. After a few hours in the decanter it became more evident this was lightly corked. A shame as this still held good promise and still seemed quite youthful even for a 1/2 bottle. N/R

I love this 1983 and it is in my top 3 of the vintage. Remarkable. I remember it at $19 and thought it was criminal in the late 1990s when it had gone up to $39. Stunningly good, but insanely young today.

Hi Cheyenne,
First, welcome to the Forum. Sorry to hear about the broken bottle. I've checked and I no longer have anymore .375's of this Port. My last bottle being consumed about 4 years ago. So I can't help, sorry.
