A Crazy Week, "bad things come in 3s"

Post by Roy Hersh »

Nope, this is not leading where you think ...

The old expression that "bad things come in 3s" proved itself to be true this week. My immediate family certainly found that out as my wife Dorene's best friends' mom died suddenly this week, followed by the father of a friend of mine who I will be seeing at the end of this week. An hour ago, we get a crazy phone call that my wife's brother was found dead in his apartment but we have no real details yet. Absolutely beyond my belief and very sad.

I am looking forward to this coming week and a major change in mood and atmosphere. It is time to open some very good bottles with great friends and family!!!

Thank you guys for the kind comments. I'll have her read the thread to see the nice sentiments for her, when I think she'll be able to handle it. Rough daze ahead.

Thanks again!

Roy, I am very sorry to hear about these incidents. Look after yourself and your wife.
I'm telling you - Port is from Portugal.

Alex,

I truly appreciate that. Our 4 year old does not understand why her mom has been crying so much.

Hey, I noticed you have been able to get the Alex K. working. Congrats!

Thanks for your kind words Alex.

Roy

I'm just catching up with posts after a long time away from the site. Please pass on my condolences and sympathy to Dorene and to your friend. Its always rough when these things happen suddenly, my father died unexpectedly in May 2006 and we are still wondering how and why.

Al B.,

Wow, I had no idea about your father. That is awful. You seemed quite jovial in October. Thanks for sharing that.

I am just looking forward to having Dorene get to sleep without crying. She does seem to be "accepting" at least the reality of the situation now.

I appreciate your kindness and supportive words!
