A Dessert Wine Maestro Loses Battle with Cancer

Post by Roy Hersh »

Any serious fan of dessert wine will know and understand the importance of Alois Kracher (from Austria) and the amazing range of dessert wines this gentleman produced. If you ever get a chance to try the ethereal 2002 #12, you will feel like you're next to Alois Kracher in heaven. He has left us with so many fantastic gems and a wonderful legacy, but at such a young age, his passing is still very sad.

A real loss and tragic given his relatively young age. His 1998's were (and still are) sublime.
