They are releasing a 25 th anniversary edition of " The Thriller" album .
Which got me to thinking , were you a minor drinking Port or a major enjoying Port 25 yrs ago .

i was a minor back then, although my age was old enough to drink beer at the local nightclub.

I remember the release of the thriller video, everybody stayed home to watch it.
And it was quite good, but what can you expect from academy award winning make-up artist Rick Baker.

I was driving but not voting.

I remember that whole album... I may have to go buy the 25th anniversary CD just for the memories. There were so many songs from that album that hit the top 10!

I was not very tall but I remember quite well sitting on the couch with my father after he woke me up to watch the clip.

It is one of the first clip I downloaded too once it got my 28.8kbps internet connection. Always nice to watch it!

Ah yes, the Thriller album...I remember it well. I thought that the Off The Wall album couldn't be topped, I was wrong! Twenty-five years ago I was just entering grad. school and starting to dabble in wines. I think I still have a few wines from the Thriller days. Now I'm married (no kids!), have a wine cellar that is rapidly approaching critical mass (may need to knock out a wall in the near future) and am fascinated by the complexity and possibilities that are possible in top notch wines.

25 years ago I was a wet behind the ears little 10 year-old punk kid that only cared about my bicycle and toy guns. Now I got a better bike, real guns, and Port..ain't life grand

I remember the video being launched. I was 17 and out with the old school crowd at a party in a pub in Edinburgh getting hammered on Southern Comfort and Lemonade :? (Yuk!!) -

I also seem to remember that a lovely young girl named Terri enjoyed that evening too
