Absolutely. Italy were up to their tactics of old -- all defense... effiecient but boring. The 0-0 score at the end of regulation did not surprise me.

The Spain/Russia semifinal should be interesting.

Looks like it's Germany v Spain in the finals on Sunday. Nice to see Spain shake it's "underacheiver" reputation on the big stage.

Too bad David Villa is not available for the final...

Yes, it has been a few decades since Spain was a factor in any real sense in a Euro or World Cup game with meaning. Do they have any real chance to beat the methodical German force?

Then again, who woulda thunk that Greece would have beaten Portugal in 2004? :(

You gotta love when the underdog wins in a match up like this (everyone except Erik W. and Peter Reutter and Michael too). But they've won plenty of big matches/Cups in recent years!

Great game, Spain just kept attacking. What a move by Torres; how he got around the defender was just too good! He was lucky to get such a foot on the ball at that point. :salute:

Highly entertaining game. Spain deserved to win. The stats were incredible... Spain really pushed it and attempted much more shots.

Should be an interesting World Cup in two years.
