Does anybody care about the World Series this year?

Post by Roy Hersh »

I have not had less interest in any World Series in at least a decade. Snoresville to me.

Tampa Bay and Philadelphia ... I would imagine that the executives at Fox Sports are absolutely pulling their hair out with the worst TV ratings in eons.

I've never thought that watching Poker on TV was the least bit interesting.

Is that the Baseball "World" Series that only American teams take part in?

If so, no. It's just an even slower version of cricket.

There are a couple of Candian teams. It used to be more of a joke, but now that there are players from all over the world now, especially Latin America and the Far East, it's not quite so bad.

To tell you the truth, I didn't even know the World Series was happening until yesterday.

Kris,

Nothing wrong with that. You'll also wake up one morning in late January and realize we have a new President.

Baseball, is the game where unless one of the teams in the World Series is from Boston, LA, SD, SF or NY ... America seems not to care who is playing. :help: Sad but true!

Derek,

The good news is ... the entire Series can be over, far quicker than one darn Cricket match. In the case of the 2008 Series, the only thing that extended it, was rain. Please lots not get into the merits or lack thereof, of Cricket!

Yes I haven't missed one in years. Too bad you have to put up with Tim Mccarver. If I had to listen to Tim Mccarver for a whole game I wouldn't even tune in, his partner Joe Buck doesn't even cover for him anymore. What a moron. On the other hand the Fox International feed teams ??? O'brien with Rick Sutcliff. I can listen to Rick for ever. Insightful, knowledgeable and most important humble.
