Clearing Cookies

Post by Derek T. »

Stewart,

I use many websites that automatically log me in when I launch them in the browser. This is the only site where I have experienced this problem. Is it a problem with the cookies generated by this site? I ask because if I follow your advice I would have to remember my login credentials for all the other sites I use because clearing the cookies would erase them from my computer.

If there is a specific cookie that needs repair or deletion can you please give us its name so that we can deal with it in isolation.

Thanks

Derek

Check to see if any of the cookies as tagged with ftlop, fortheloveofport, or http://www.fortheloveofport.com

That's the easiest way.

I checked my cookies, and the ftlop ones are listed below. *NOTE* These are specific to my machine and my session so you are NOT going to have a cookie that is named "12741f239d6f77e29036bc215b1a5c70". Yours will have a different string of characters.

The cookie issue has been resolved.

If you are still having any issues associated with:
1) having to repeatedly log in or
2) the forum not keeping track of which posts you've read

Please clear your cookies and cache once more using the "Technical FAQS" post in this forum.

After that, please report any subsequent issues to [email protected].

Thanks for your patience while I was troubleshooting this issue.

After removing the wubbleyoos from my desktop link I have managed to go a whole day without logging out and back in again - and I didn't have to toss my cookies

Thanks, Stewart
