Casa Ferreirinha fetches Trophy for Best Douro Wine at Decanter World Wine Awards

Post by Roy Hersh »

In the wake of the International Wine Contest season, Casa Ferreirinha is once again placed in the limelight with over 20 awards amongst which the Decanter World Wine Awards Trophy for Best Douro over £15 (€17.5) for Quinta da Leda 2010 is one of the highlights.

Also to be underlined are the Gold Medal for Papa Figos 2011 at Vinalies Internationales (FR) as well as Silver Medals for Esteva 2011 at Concours Mondial de Bruxelles (BE), Vinalies Internationales (FR) and International Wine Challenge (UK) and for Planalto Reserva White 2011 at International Wines and Spirits Challenge (UK), awards which again reinforce the value for money of the two leading references in their categories on the Portuguese market.

These awards fill our award winning winemaking team (Wine & Spirits Portuguese Winery of The Year 2012 and Winemaker of the Year 2013 by Revista de Vinhos) with pride, strengthening the ever present motivation to always make better wines.
Ambition driven by passion, rather than money, is as strong an elixir as is Port. http://www.fortheloveofport.com

I've enjoyed the Leda's in the past, a good QPR wine.
