TN: 2007 Niepoort Charme Douro red
Decanted 2.5 hrs. Medium red with a tiny touch of brown, a bit unclear. Powerful aroma of berries, spices and oak. Medium body. Nice strong tannins (a bit too strong at the start). A bit too much acid for my taste. Need meat as food companion. Medium to long aftertaste. 91 pts.

Re: TN: 2007 Niepoort Charme Douro red
Charme is the most "Burgundian" of his wines. They tend to be awkward when young and it's such a departure from the normal Douro style of dry wine people aren't sure what to make of it. Or just not their type of wine.
