2005 Quinta do Crasto Touriga Nacional Douro - Portugal, Douro (12/2/2013)
Decanted and aired for 4 hours. Decanting is absolutely necessary, it had sediment comparable to a vintage port.

Opaque dark red color, the aromas were enticing. In the mouth failed to wow me... Tried to find the extreme elegance it is supposed to have but, possibly due to lack of ability on my end, didnt find it.

Am also finding the regular Crasto Old Vines better value. (91 pts.)

Yeah, these Crasto "supers" do tend to throw a lot of sediment after a few years in bottle. Far more than most dry wines of comparable age.
