TN: 2009 Casa Ferreirinha Quinta da Leda Douro red

From the quinta that is producing the Barca Velha after Quinta do Vale Meao no longer deliver to the Barca Velha-brand.

3 hrs decanting. Dark red colour. Deep, complex and wonderful aroma showing the Douro style incl minerals. Full body. Powerful, some elegance, dark berries, a bit dry towards the end. Long aftertaste. Will probably benefit from a few more years in the cellar. 93 pts.

Loved this when we had it with George Sandeman at DOC this summer. Really nicely balanced and a very classy Douro wine. My favorite by Leda since 2004!
