Tried first time two years ago when it was only 2.5 years old. At that time 91 pts and I commented that it should be cellared for another 2-3 years. Still it is staying at 91 pts, but when we look at the older Pintas Douro reds, this one should also age well.
Decanted 3 hrs. Dark bluered colour. Wonderful typical Douro-aroma of berries and oak, some minerals. A touch of Bordeaux-style. Well structured and well balanced. Full body. Quite fruity in the style which is staying all the way. Plenty tannins. Medium length aftertaste. 91 pts.
