TFP to make a Douro wine?

Post by Andy Velebil »

Sarah Ahmed's recent article sheds light on a topic that many of have talked about for some time. That is, The Fladgate Partnership's venture into Douro wines and when that would be (other than the small amount they've already made for use and sale at the Taylor's Lodge). I've said it was a matter of time before they would change their stance of never making one, looks like I was right. When that will be??????????????
Bowing to the inevitable (for the first time in our not infrequent conversations on said topic) Guimaraens conceded that The Fladgate Partnership will make a Douro wine at some point. But he was quick to assert that it won’t be made by him, would be under a different brand and made in separate facilities. Perhaps I shouldn’t hold my breath then, but I await developments with interest!
