2013 Lagar de Darei Branco Dao

This has recently made it to shops around Chicago. It can be found for $12 or so at Binny's. It has an oxidative note that I enjoy along with honey and apples (hmm, Rosh Hashannah wine, maybe), and a bit of stone fruit. This makes for a very solid house white. Grapes are as follows: Encruzado (35%), Malvasia Fina (21%), Cerceal Branco (12%), Bical (14%), and Gouveio (18%). I hope to get my hands on a wine that is 100% encruzado someday. I hear it is quite a grape on its own. (Paging Moses.). This producer also has a red reserva on the shelves here for about $17 or so.
